I am very happy with this Squirrel guard. I used mine on a metal roof. it worked fine. I cut the guard at each hump, or high spot on the roof every 2 feet. It only took a few seconds each time and the install went fast. The clips are easy to assemble and take longer to describe then to do. I had all 100 clips assembled in a few minutes. If you are in the woods, or have overhanging trees near your house, (like I do) I would recommend this kit to every solar owner before they have squirrel damage. For $120 it is cheap insurance on a $27,000 solar system.

Ordered this last year and never got to doing the installation. Wanted to get on it before the doves start to nest under my panels again this year. But when I opened up the package, there was only the roll and not the fasteners. Called up squirrelguard and they sent them to me free of charge even thought it was 9 months later. Amazing! I did not expect that. When they arrived, I got right to the project. It’s easy to work wish and installed relatively quickly. Very happy with it!

Have a large solar system on my roof and pigeons became a problem. In total there were about 4 nests and the amount of pigeon waste was disgusting. Cleaned everything up with a pressure washer and installed the Squirrel guard kit. Install was easy and the fasteners seem to hold very well. The pigeons have attempted to return but to no avail. They will have to go down the street to a neighbor’s house now.

This kit was worth every penny. The solar company wanted $600 for the install but for about $180 for two rolls and about 2 hours of work I was able to do this all myself.

This product does the job and looks great too. In my neighborhood and online as well, I kept hearing of horror stories about birds and other critters making the space under the solar modules their new home. This barrier does a really good job to prevent it. The PVC coated wire is nice and thick and the clips are easy to assemble and use. Within the 100 foot roll, there were about 4 areas where the mesh had come apart – bad welding in manufacturing i am guessing – but it works great. Pigeons are a real problem locally so I think this will do a great job of keeping them from making my roof their new home, thanks to this product.

I tried a few different items before this, but the pigeons kept coming back. This makes it so the pigeons can’t get under my solar panel and they have since decided it isn’t worth it. No more pigeons on the roof! I believe they just moved down the street, I won’t install this for them (I hate heights), but I will tell them about the product.

I wish I did this years ago. We have been suffering from pigeons cooing and living under our solar panels for years. I tried the spikes, tried the reflective tape, and even the sticky bird gels. the pigeons would just step on the stick stuff, wiggle through the spikes and ignore the reflective tapes.
ONe weekend, I ran a hose to my roof and flushed out all the nesting. and wrapped the mesh wiring around my panels….guess what….no more pigeons. I should have done this as soon as I heard the pigeons but for years I tried the easy way out and it failed miserably. I can’t say enough, just put the fencing up to keep the bad guys out.

Great product, easy to install, about 1 hour for 12 panels . The only cutting was around the corners, which we overlap. I use continuous length so I had minimal cutting. Had extra j hook fasteners left over, In case you need to remove the screen

Super easy to install. We had a family of pidgins living under our solar panels. I was able to install this by myself on my roof in a day. (Don’t worry the birds now also have a fantastic bird house)

Best product to protect your solar panels from squirrels. Their products come as described, if missing something they respond to your message quick. Their costumer services is excellent. I definitely recommend them !

Have pigeons nesting under my solar panels and now they all moved off my roof to a neighbor down the street .
They are po’d at me now. Never liked their attitude anyway

I love how easy it is to work with and install. I cut 10 foot lengths for installation around my solar panels to keep a mother squirrel from making her nest under my solar panels.

This was an adequate means to guard a solar array from squirrels.
